Melanie K is an artist and a friend of mine. A few weeks ago she included me on one of her photography projects. In the early AM, we slipped into a studio at Saint Martins College and all I had to do was blow bubbles while she took photos! Easiest assignment ever. 🙂 It was pretty fun and the hours flew by.
Me blowing bubbles. 🙂
Here are a couple of the results!
You can see my orange dress in the last one.
In addition to the bubble photography, Melanie has also introduced me to making cyanotypes and other forms of alternative photography. You can check out her website here.
Back in January, I took my first roll of film soup. It’s a 35mm film taken with my Holga camera. Then I soaked the film in a solution of silica gel and lemon juice for 10 minutes, rinsed it off for 10 minutes and then left the film on the radiator for 3 days. These are the results – I’m quite pleased!
All photos taken in either Nunhead Cemetery, Soho or Chinatown, London.
